Pipe Monitor

NOWi Pipe Monitor installed on a copper pipe: Keyence ultrasonic flow sensor, NOWi cellular communication box, and power supply

How Does The Pipe Monitor Work?

The Pipe Monitor uses advanced ultrasonic technology to monitor the water flowing through the pipe with high accuracy. The Pipe Monitor connects directly to the cloud through a cellular connection to send data in real-time.

How clamp-on ultrasonic flow sensing works: two pulses cross the water, one with the flow and one against it, and the difference in arrival time gives the water speed

How Ultrasonic Sensing Works

Two ultrasonic pulses cross the water, one with the flow and one against it. Moving water carries sound along with it, so the pulse going downstream always arrives first. How big that head start is tells us exactly how fast your water is moving.
